When a chargepoint space / bay is blocked by an ICE (Internal Combustion Engine vehicle). An advantage needs to be given to EV drivers but without using EV only bays.
If EV drivers don‘t know when bays become available, they may not be “ICED“ but may still be losing an opportunity to charge. We don't believe in EV only bays as everyone is entitled to park in an available space. DEICER however, gives EV drivers the upper hand.
Currently only available in the London Borough of Camden, where Trojan HUBS are installed. Enabling a street with DEICER requires the authorisation of the local authority to install.
